SOUTH DOWNTOWN ORLANDO CITY
SoDoOrCi is a live-work mobility community.
Pre-fabricated precast concrete panels are used to create affordable housing units which are then stacked into a weaving vierendeel steel structure with mobile Live-Work stations at each level. The aim of the collective number of Live-Work stations is to emulate a site-wide vertical bazaar as high as 4 floors. SoDoOrCi was created in an effort to give the poverty-stricken area of Oakridge, Orlando their own sustainable economy along with more resources to help provide a new and improved life for not only the site, but also for neighboring communities.
