LUMINESCENT

Luminescent: a vibrant 3,000 square foot Coffee & Cocktail Lounge nestled in the heart of Orlando. The client envisioned a space where every material and fixture tells its own story, adding depth and character to the ambiance. To seamlessly blend the natural with the urban, we curated a palette of raw elements like wood, quartzite, and industrial accents, infusing the space with an inviting warmth. True to its name, Luminescent beckons with a mesmerizing array of bespoke lighting fixtures, casting a spellbinding glow that dances across every surface. The space’s primary goal was to make the occupants feel incredibly comfortable, socially open, and of course to bring others.

The challenge? Transforming a split unit previously occupied by an insurance agency and a tea shop into a cohesive social hub. While retaining the existing lavatory facilities, we reimagined their design to harmonize with the lounge's aesthetic. Positioned at the back center, these facilities posed a unique challenge in fostering a communal atmosphere. Enter the central u-bar: a hub of activity and connection, illuminated by five distinct lighting schemes, encouraging guests to mingle and share in the vibrant energy of Luminescent.

Sidereal Design was contracted to perform schematic design, renderings, and consultation services. The project is currently under construction, slated for completion late 2024.
