AUTONOMOUS AQUAPONICS

AUTO AQUA PARK houses buildings focused on automating an AQUAPONICS system to clean Lake Ivanhoe while creating fruits, vegetable, and even cannabis, all at an industrial scale.

Auto Aqua Park re-uses existing lake water for AQUAPONICS, and filters it out through a series of systems into multiple fish tanks. By this point, the water will be in optimal conditions to house fish in. Aquaponic systems by design take fish nutrition and filters it to a secondary system which houses fruits, vegetation, and will also house the country's first industrial sized cannabis farm entirely cultivated by aquaponics. Once the plants absorb the nutrition, the fish-water will re-enter the tanks and the process begins again. The water can also exit into the lake, thus putting back cleaner water than originally filtered.

The most important accomplishment that this system achieves is that it is PROTOTYPICAL. Auto Aqua Park is a demonstration of how we can use the sustainable practice of aquaponics to not only produce a variety of economic goods, but also as a tool to mitigate the oncoming wave of urban growth in our city by building on Urban Waters.
